What is Victorian Furniture

During the early 19th century during the reign of Queen Victoria, the furniture was designed with stylish motifs and heavy carving designs. The furniture were mostly in antique gold paint to provide the royal look to the place, thus known as Victorian furniture.

Victorian Furniture was specially designed in solid wood with pattern and carving designs. It is a mixture of many other styles including Gothic, Tudor, Elizabethan, Rococo, and Neoclassic, with Gothic and Rococo being the most common. Due to the mixture of many styles, Victorian furniture cannot be identified easily. However, it does have its own charisma and authenticity.
