Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj Took Samadhi, Left His Body On Chandragiri Mountain

World famous Jain sage Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj passed away late on Saturday night. Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj was ill for some days. He breathed his last in Chandragiri of Dongargarh. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have expressed grief over the demise of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj.

One of the major religious gurus of Jain society was Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj. A few months ago, before the assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reached Dongargarh and met Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, whose photo he had posted on social media.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj. He also wrote- "I had the honor of receiving such blessings till last year. Late last year I visited Chandragiri Jain Temple in Dongragarh, Chhattisgarh. I can never forget my visit.

Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj was born in Sadalga village of Belgaum, Karnataka in 1946 on Sharad Purnima day on 10 October. Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj's three brothers and two sisters Swarna and Suvarna also took celibacy from him.

On behalf of the state government, a half-day state mourning has been declared in Chhattisgarh in honor of Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj ji of the world famous Digambar Jain saint tradition, known as Vardhaman of the present day. During this period the national flag will remain at half mast

Jain monk Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj took Samadhi in Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh. Guruvarya Shri Ji's dola was taken out at Chandragiri Teerth Dongargarh at 1 pm. He merged into the five elements at Chandragiri Tirtha itself.
