Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi died on 30 January 1948, hence Bapu Gandhi's birth anniversary is celebrated on 30 January.
Gandhiji's full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Gandhiji also inspired great moral and political leaders of the world with his thoughts.
On July 6, 1944, Subhash Chandra Bose gave the title of Bapu to Gandhiji.
