GPT Healthcare IPO: The IPO Of This Kolkata Company Opens From Today

If you like to invest in IPO then today is your chance. The IPO of Kolkata's healthcare sector company GPT Healthcare is going to open from today.

Investors can invest in this IPO till 26 February. The company, which operates and manages medium-sized multispecialty hospitals under the ILS Hospitals brand, has fixed the price band of its Rs 10 face value share at Rs 177 to Rs 186.

Apart from this, big (anchor) investors will be able to bid for buying shares a day earlier i.e. on 21st February. New shares worth Rs 40 crore will be issued in the IPO. The company will sell 26.08 million equity shares through this IPO through Offer for Sale (OFS) route.

GPT Healthcare is founded by Dwarika Prasad Tantia, Dr. Om Tantia and Gopal Tantia. It started in the year 2000 as a hospital with just 8 beds in the Salt Lake area of Kolkata. Today it operates four full service multispecialty hospitals with a total capacity of 561 beds.

Talking about the gray market premium of the company's shares, even today it is zero percent. To participate in the initial public offering (“IPO” or “Offer”) of GPT Healthcare, investors will be required to bid for a minimum of 80 equity shares.

According to DRHP, Rs 30 crore of the funds raised through the fresh issue will be used to repay old borrowings and for general corporate purposes. Talking about the balance sheet of the company, the total income of this company increased by 7.3 percent to Rs 3610.37 million in the financial year 2023. It was ₹ 3374.15 million in FY 2022. This increase was mainly due to increase in income from hospital services.
