On Basant Panchami, people started reaching the ghats from Wednesday morning itself. Devotees took bath in Mother Ganga with chants of Har Har Ganga. After that, Mother Ganga was worshiped and food and money were offered to the pilgrim priests.
On Vasant Panchami, a large number of people reached Shahabad Fort in Manikpur and Rajghat on the banks of Ganga. Took a dip of faith in the streams of Ganga.
