Telecom major Bharti Airtel on Monday, February 5 reported a 54% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,442 crore for the quarter ending December 2023.
The profit figure was less than the ET Now poll estimate of Rs 2,596 crore. Profit in Q3FY23 was Rs 1,588 crore.
The company reported an increase in average revenue per user (ARPU) of Rs 208 in Q3FY24, compared to Rs 193 in Q3FY23.
Mobile services revenue in India grew 12% year-on-year due to strong 4G/5G subscriber growth and growth in ARPU, the company's filing said.
Airtel business revenue grew 9% year-on-year, supported by an emerging portfolio, while its domestic business grew revenue 23% on the back of solid subscriber growth.
The number of 4G/5G data subscribers increased by 28.2 million YoY and 7.4 million QoQ, accounting for 71% of the total mobile subscriber base.
